Process & Pricing
Idea —> Sketch —> Building or throwing—> Trimming and smoothing —>First Firing —>Glazing —> Second Firing
Every ceramic piece is crafted by hand, starting from a unique idea that transforms into a tangible work of art. The process, from initial sketch to final glaze, can take weeks, reflecting the labor of love involved in both ceramics and illustration. Each stage requires meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every item meets the proper standards of quality and craft. Even then some pieces will inevitably not come out of the kiln as anticipated. This dedication is reflected in my pricing, which accounts for the time, care, and artistry that go into each handmade piece, making them not just functional items, but pieces that tell a story.
