Meet Chesleyjean

Growing up in the small, southern town of Robinson, Texas, I spent countless hours painting, drawing, making stained glass and crafting with a creativity that I saw in my granny and mom. I was passionate about all forms of art from a young age. I found inspiration in patterns and earthy colors, traveling, and the countless stories tucked away in books. My journey led me to earn a BFA in Illustration from Lesley College of Art and Design in Cambridge, MA, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. While living and teaching on Cape Cod, I discovered a deep love for pottery while spending copius hours at the Falmouth Art Center. After 9 years in Boston and Cape Cod, I moved back to Waco in 2021. Today I am a full time art teacher and create art in my free time while trying to entill and share my creativity and love for art in my students.
